1 . ENTRY DEADLINE :
OCTOBER 12th, 2012
2 . ENTRY FEE:
The entry fee will be $100 per boat if paid by SEPTEMBER 28th, 2012 or $125 per boat afterwards.
3. CAPTAIN’S MEETING:
There will be a mandatory captain’s meeting, OCTOBER 12th, at the courtyard next to Strike-Zone Fishing. At least one member of each team MUST be present. All anglers and guests are encouraged to attend for a premier raffle and fellowship!
4 . ENTRY NUMBERS :
Each tournament entrant shall be assigned an entry number and shall be required to display that number in a manner easily distinguishable to tournament officials at weigh-in. Entry numbers must be picked up at the pre-tournament captain’s meeting. There is an angler limit of four (4) on each boat.
5.HOURS OF COMPETITION :
Tournament participants may begin fishing at SAFE LIGHT (Specific Safe Light Time will be Coordinated at the Captain's Meeting) on October 13th, 2012. You must be in the weigh-in line no later than 4:00 PM on October 13th, 2012 to be eligible to enter fish.
6 . FISHING GUIDELINES :
International Game Fish Association (IFGA) rules and tackle specifications apply to this tournament. All fish must be caught on rod and reel using natural, artificial bait or both. No electric reel use allowed during the tournament. The Captain shall ensure that dead fish weighed in have their tail clipped immediately after the weigh-in.
7 . OFF LOADING CATCH:
Tournament competition is limited to boats only. All Fish must be weighed-in off the boat from which they were caught. Fish must be off-loaded only at the designated dock at the Sister’s Creek Marina.
8 . WEIGHING IN FISH:
Weigh-in begins 2:00 PM at Sister’s Creek Marina. Once a fish is entered, it may not be substituted for a larger fish that day. The deadline to be in the weigh-in line is 4:00 PM. All fish will be weighed-in unless otherwise dictated by committee. Fish may be live or dead at weigh in.
9 . PRIZE PAYMENTS
All prize payments will be made directly to the captain of the boat at the awards ceremony. Captains may then distribute winnings to the anglers on their boats as appropriate.
10. BOAT SUBSTITUTION & PROCEDURES:
Boat substitutions are permitted for mechanical failure only. Any substitutions must be reported to tournament officials on the designated communications channel or by calling Kirk Wurster (904) 483-6212. Boats are not permitted to have any physical contact with other boats during the fishing hours of the tournament.
All protests concerning the determination of the tournament winners shall be made in writing to the tournament rules committee, and shall be accompanied by $100 cash. All protests shall be made no later than thirty (30) minutes after the last fish has been weighed. In the event that a protest is made and upheld by the rules committee, the $100 cash deposit will be returned. Otherwise, the $100 cash deposit becomes the property of the tournament. Any protest resolutions are based on committee decisions, which are final.
1 2 . INSPECTION OF BOATS
The rules committee reserves the right to inspect any and all boats entered in the competition.
13. PROCEDURES IN EVENT OF A TIE:
If two or more entries in any category are the exact weight or weights, the winner shall be determined by the first fish or fishes weighed.
1 4 . RAIN DATE:
There will be no Rain Date for this Tournament. Based upon severe weather conditions only and at the sole discretion of the
committee, the tournament may be delayed until safe weather prevails on the tournament day. There shall be no refunds.
1 5 . CONDITION OF FISH
Fish shall not be mutilated in any way other than hook marks and must be in edible condition.
1 6 . RULE VIOLATIONS:
The penalty for any violation of any of the rules is disqualification, with tournament fees not refundable. The committee has the right to subject the winner(s) to a polygraph test.
